When the home was built it was designed with long term care in mind. we know that as the elderly age their memory and cognitive skills begin to decline; with that in mind,the owner decided that she wanted a home designed for the purpose of the resident not having to relocate after being accustomed to their own personal space and privacy, so they wouldn't have to deal with high staff turnovers frequent changes and expensive living facilities that don't offer that peace of mind.
Our Cabin Full of Care is an affordable living private pay home.Unfortunately Covid has changed the healthcare industry over the last couple of years. There's a shortage of nurses, CNA's, med techs nationally and locally some residents are not being monitored or assessed daily for skin breakdown, changes with Diabetes, early signs of dementia, UTI's etc due to lack of staffing in bigger facilities with not enough staffing.
Studies show that families are looking for a home-like setting that provides the proper care and ADLS ( Active Daily Living skills) in a smaller facility where they will get the proper attention and treatment effectively, promptly and consistently.
